How this system works.
A private household tool with simple ground rules: family members who opt in can use it, only for the purpose it was built for, and never as a substitute for a healthcare provider.
What this is
The Herrada Family Care coordination system is a private, non-commercial tool used by members of the Herrada family to share care-related updates about specific family members. It is operated by Alfonso Herrada (the household administrator) for personal use within the family. There is no charge for using the system. There are no public users.
Who can use it
Only family members whose mobile phone numbers have been explicitly registered by the household administrator can interact with the system. Each registered member has consented to receive automated SMS messages, voice prompts, and follow-up confirmations. Anyone who has not been registered cannot use the system, and messages from unregistered numbers receive a single reply directing the sender to contact the administrator.
What you agree to
By using the system, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when logging care updates.
- Use the system only for coordinating care within the Herrada family.
- Not share the system's phone number, web address, or login credentials with anyone outside the family.
- Not attempt to access or modify other families' data, even hypothetically — there is none, but the system is built defensively.
- Treat shared health information with the discretion appropriate for any family medical context.
This is not medical advice. The system stores notes that family members write down. It does not provide diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or medical guidance. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider for medical decisions. In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room — do not rely on this system for emergency communication.
SMS messaging terms
- Message frequency: Messages are sent in response to your own submissions, plus an optional weekly summary. Volume is low — typically a few messages per week per family member.
- Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. The system does not charge you for messages.
- Opt-out: Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message to immediately stop receiving messages and have your phone number removed from the system. You can also ask the administrator to remove your number directly.
- Help: Reply HELP or INFO to any message for a quick reminder of how the system works.
- Supported carriers: Most US carriers. Carrier-specific delays or filtering can occur.
Data and privacy
All data handling is described in our Privacy Policy. Briefly: data is stored privately, used only within the family, and never sold or shared with advertisers. Family members can request removal of their phone number and attribution at any time.
Availability and changes
The system is provided on an "as is" basis. The administrator does not guarantee uptime, message delivery, or freedom from errors. The system depends on third-party services (Twilio for SMS, Supabase for storage, Anthropic for processing, Vercel for hosting) and inherits their availability.
The administrator may modify, suspend, or discontinue the system at any time without notice. The administrator may also update these terms — significant changes will be communicated to registered family members directly.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the household administrator is not responsible for:
- Decisions made based on information stored in the system.
- Delays, errors, or omissions in messages.
- Service outages from third-party providers.
- Misuse of the system by registered family members.
This is a personal tool maintained by a single person for their own family. Use accordingly.
Plain-English summary: Use the system to help coordinate care. Don't share access outside the family. Don't treat it as medical advice. The administrator does their best to keep it running but makes no guarantees. You can opt out anytime by replying STOP.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith family conversation first, and if necessary, in the courts of Travis County, Texas.
